Boo Young Pvt. Ltd. is a global manufacturing company established on December 3, 1986, by Mr. Kang Ryan. Headquartered in Busan, South Korea, the company operates with a strong international presence that includes a sales office in Seattle, USA, and production facilities in Jakarta and Semarang (Indonesia) and Long An, Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam). With a total workforce of 448 employees across Indonesia and Vietnam, Boo Young specializes in high-quality textile and hardware components for the fashion and footwear industry. The company is known for being the first creator and patent holder of the Oval Lace and has received accolades such as the “Excellent Innovation” and “Performance” awards from Adidas, a long-standing partner since 1993.
What We Do
Our production capabilities include an extensive range of products such as shoelaces, webbing tape, elastic bands and strings, sewing threads, jacquard, hardware, and accessories. With advanced factories covering 7,500㎡ in Jakarta, 20,000㎡ in Semarang (with 9,500㎡ expansion potential), and 9,500㎡ in Vietnam, Boo Young utilizes cutting-edge machinery like waxing machines, jacquard weaving units, heated press tipping machines, and color spray systems to ensure consistent quality and large-scale output. Our annual production capacity reaches up to 12 million pairs of shoelaces and 1.5 million meters of webbing tape in Indonesia alone, with substantial contributions from our Vietnam operations. Plans are underway to set up a new metal eyelet facility in Serang by March 2025 to further expand our product offerings.
Our Commitment
Boo Young is deeply committed to sustainable and responsible manufacturing. We prioritize eco-friendly materials by using recycled yarns and have replaced coal with wood chips in our dyeing processes to reduce carbon emissions. Our wastewater treatment systems reuse over 50% of processed water, and all factories operate boilers powered by biomass resources in line with Adidas’s sustainability guidelines. These initiatives reflect our dedication to environmental responsibility while maintaining high productivity, flexibility, and cost-efficiency in global supply and demand.
